REPORTS TO:     Athletic Director

 

Position Description: 

Educate, train and assist student athletes. 

 

Qualifications:

  1. High School graduate or GED certificate.
  2. Prior coaching experience – preferred
  3. Ability to pass criminal background check
  4. Possess a valid driver license
  5. Ability to communicate with staff and parents clearly and effectively
  6. Meet department and W.I.A.A coaching standards

 

General Responsibilities:  (To include but not limited to the following)

  1. Plan and execute or assist with the process for all team practices
  2. Supervise players and volunteers at all team events (games, practices, road trips, meetings, etc.)
  3. Provide basic medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.  Be able to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities
  4. Attend Athletic Department coaches training
  5. Keep current with district and W.I.A.A rules and regulations
  6. Work collaboratively  to ensure athletic program is aligned with the vision and philosophy of the head coach and athletic director
  7. Post-season collection of all issued equipment, med kits, keys and uniforms for inventory
  8. Post-season debriefing / evaluation

 

Successful Candidates will:

  1. Have  the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, parents, alums and administrators
  2. Be able to role model the behavior standards of students and athletes in the Cle Elum Roslyn School District Wildcat and Warrior programs
  3. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Evaluation:

Performance will be evaluated seasonally by the athletic director.
